Inside Howdy Morning's Tavern, Percival King attempts to arrest Giovanni Potage for his theft of the Arsene Amulet. casusing Giovanni to scream in surprise at the appearance of the police officer, the group of Banzai Blasters occupying the tavern mirrors Giovanni. Afterward, they swarm around Percy, Bugsy Pugsler and Arnold Markdown then enter the room. Bugsy attempts to intimate Percy, but she is more concerned about the door he just broke.
Bugsy then does more damage to the door, all the while mocking her. Arnold retorts that she is completely surrounded. In response, Percy states how the amount of Blasters in the room is a telltale sign of how society's failed them, giving them her pity but not her surrender. She then summons one of her wizard towers to throw herself across the room, landing on top of Bugsy. She uses her epithet to fix the door
Outraged, Pugsly commands the Blasters to shoot at her. They attempt to but, thanks to a magnetic field made by Percy's wizard tower, the Blasters' bullets are merely suspended in midair. Percy tries to persuade the Blasters to surrender before Arnold has them swarm Percy again. Meanwhile, Giovanni yells at Ramsey Murdoch for 'selling him out', which leads to Ramsey finding out about Giovanni losing the amulet to Bugsy. Ramsey yells that Bugsy has the amulet to Percy, in hopes of it being a distraction for Giovanni's escape.
Hearing this, Percy monologues about acquiring the amulet, with Giovanni almost interrupting it, and finishes her speech with the drawing of her sword. Hearing this, an ecstatic Howdy Morning gets his soup-firing gun from his cat, exclaiming how long it had been since the last brawl. Howdy shoots a blast of soup toward Arnold, only for Bugsy to eat the shot. The Blasters cower in fear as he prepares his randomized attack. It turns out to be an ice blast, which destroys Percy's wizard tower. He then proceeds to explain his power before Arnold uses '2 for 1' to have him use another Ice Blast. It hits Percy on the arm, freezing it.
The townies flee, cursing at the 'damn epithet users'. Arnold asks Bugsy if they should pursue them, but Bugsy decides to keep their sole focus on the cop. Percy confesses to Ramsey that she is quite low on stamina. In an act of desperate improvisation, Ramsey threatens them with his box of crayons. In turn, Bugsy dismissingly tosses him across the room. Ramsey then makes the tips sharpened with gold and launches them at Bugsy. Astounded by how the crayons are hurting the Banzai vice principal, Percy asks Ramsey what brand they are.
Ramsey then lies that he was put in jail for fine art forgery, making the crayons 'forgery crayons'. As Percy continues to be distraught at the very existence of the items, Arnold uses a coupon on Bugsy to heal him, exchanging Ramsey's 'attack' for one of equal or lesser value. Bugsy then eats the crayons and uses his epithet, only for it to produce rubber duckies, heavily confusing Ramsey. Bugsy, disgusted by the low quality of Ramsey's art tools, asks Howdy Morning to shoot soup into his mouth in the hopes of producing a better attack, to which the old man happily agrees.
Giovanni Potage then reveals himself, much to Ramsey's rage, and says he has a plan. After eating a few shots, Bugsy suddenly turns red and coughs the soup onto Ramsey and Percy, melting the ice. Bugsy gets enraged at Howdy over the soup's high temperature when Giovanni reveals that it was his ultimate move of making the soup too hot. He then mocks Arnold and accidentally reveals his identity before fleeing. Gorou Shimizaki then comes in to grab his alphabet soup (hold the soup) before fleeing as well when Percy asked for his help with the dangerous criminals. She would then comment that at least she got Giovanni's name before knocking back all the grunts hoarding around her. Arnold attempts to get Bugsy up before asking some Banzai Blasters hiding under a table to stand up and fight.
Arnold searches for a viable coupon to use on his minions before all of them are turned into gold by Ramsey. Arnold becomes distressed at the matter, what with his coupons now lacking barcodes and therefore rendering them useless. Bugsy then wakes up and, realizing he's unlikely to win, retreats to outside the tavern. All the Banzai Blasters run, except for Arnold who is quickly captured by Ramsey and Percy. They attempt to get him to rat out onto where Bugsy went.
While Arnold initially refuses, Ramsey manages to have Howdy advertise a meal deal. Ecstatic, Arnold reveals they were planning on escaping on a train from the train station. Percy and Ramsey keep their end of the bargain by having Howdy give him the aforementioned offer, and the two go to stop Bugsy, Percy giving the order to Howdy to keep an eye on the captured Banzai vice principal as they leave. Howdy, then realizing he's still blind, concludes that he let Arnold out of his sight. He ushers his cat to hand him his soup gun, frightening Arnold.
Giovanni returns to Car Crash only to discover that he had crashed yet another one of his family's cars. Giovanni exasperatedly recalls how many times Car Crash has done this over the year, even calling him the common denominator of crashes, while the Blaster tries to defend himself. Car Crash confesses that the road was 'wiggly', causing Giovanni to pause his rant and tell Car Crash that he is worried that he has astigmatism. However, Giovanni returns to his irate state by stating that Percy now knows his name, meaning he would have to run and hide, with him especially worried over the thought of bounty hunters chasing him. Zora Salazar then arrives on the scene. She holds Giovanni at gunpoint and asks him where the amulet is.
Ramsey walks outside, attempting to formulate an escape plan before deciding he was safest with Percy. Percy then walks by, limping, while explaining she's low on stamina. Ramsey then jokingly gives her his pinecone, only to be surprised when she can drink it. She explains it is because she knows how to milk the cone. Such a statement disgusts Ramsey, but Percy thanks him for the small amount of stamina that it gave her.
She then asks what his name is, to which Ramsey answers truthfully. She says it sounds a little suspicious before moving on and introducing herself as well. Ramsey then asks if she always zaps people. She answers yes, but only in accordance with the law. Immediately afterward, the wizard tower she constructed when arriving at Redwood Run ironically shoots at public property.
Percy explains her constructs are only as good as their foundation, then states she is finding this town to not be helping in that regard. She then points out a well nearby, making a pun out of how it is not 'well'. Ramsey then complains about he was served pine cones despite a tavern and well being nearby. He says he hopes there is no water in it. Curious herself, Percy tosses a Canadian dollar inside, discovering there is nothing but mud at the bottom.
A nearby man says that the well hasn't had water in it for 20-odd years, as he's been watching it for that long. Ramsey asks how it pays, only for the man to respond that no one gets paid in Redwood Run. Ramsey points out that there is now money in the well, causing the man to immediately jump in after it. Percy puts her hand on her chin, seemingly over the strange event, only for her to then realize she's never actually been to Canada. Another man takes the other man's seat and job as well watcher before Percy's rouge tower zaps him, causing him to fall backward. He then monotonously exclaims he's been promoted to sky watcher. Percy congratulates him before Ramsey rushes them along on their quest to catch Bugsy.
Ramsey asks if it was okay to leave Arnold back at Howdy's tavern. Percy points out that she had restrained him using Eraser Cuffs, worrying Ramsey. After Percy explains that every officer carries them and how they work, Ramsey writes down his powers on a small note. Percy says she'd be useless without her Epithet, but Ramsey explains that mundies can be quite powerful too, alluding that one even took his eye. Finally reaching the train station, they find many Banzai Blasters. Percy wishes she called in back-up outside of town, causing Ramsey to try and persuade her to have them leave for Sweet Jazz City or anything far away from Redwood Run. However, Percy merely points out that would give the Banzai Blasters a chance to escape.
They begin strategizing how to handle taking them out before the nearby construction worker Howie Honeyglow loudly mutters Percy's name. Howie asks if she's here to steal his job but Percy says she is on police business. Ramsey asks what Howie's problem is, causing Percy to explain that she does some architectural consultation on the side. Howie and her keep ending up applying for the same positions, causing their small rivalry, especially with Howie's proficiency. Howie interrupts, explaining that to survive in construction work, they would have to be as proficient as he is. He continues that if an inscribed could throw up a building in two hours, he would have to construct a building in only one. He then begins working on the train station's clock tower extremely fast, bringing it from being hole-filled to being essentially complete. Ramsey asks if he has a building power, but Percy explains he is just a mundie.
One of the Banzai Blasters suddenly notices Percy and points her peashooter at her, ordering that no one move. Howie ignores her, telling her that he has his job to do, just as she has hers. The Blaster then shoots at the clock tower, leaving a hole in the clock's glass covering, before another Blaster exclaims how the Banzai Blasters own this town. Silently enraged, Howie bends his wrench and throws it at the Blaster, knocking all three down and boomeranging back into his hand. They then cower at his strength, with one of them saying that they were only told to look out for the useless sheriff.
Meanwhile, Bugsy accidentally runs into Gorou as he runs around the town looking for the train station. One of the Banzai Blasters following him points out that it is on the other side of town. Bugsy then yells at him for not telling him before the Blaster spots a floating bullet. Bugsy, questions it only for a few moments before promptly eating it, only for him to spot that he is surrounded by bullets. Zora whistles as she uses her epithet to resume the bullets' trajectories, causing Bugsy to be pelleted with bullets. One of the Banzai Blasters points out that bullets aren't lethal, confusing the other as to why he felt the need to explain that aloud before Zora shoots them both.
Zora then grabs the Amulet, only for Bugsy to desperately keep a grip on it, pleading and whining that it's his and he won't let go. Zora, annoyed, uses her epithet to aptly turn him into a baby. She takes the Amulet and goes to look for Ramsey.
